The charges of express shipping, you are required to get the real-time quote from your supplier or freight forwarder as the price is versatile. A sudden rise in the shipping costs during peak season is not unusual.
Every express company offers different discounts based on the annual shipments of the client (your supplier, or freight forwarder), which further influences the prices. If your supplier doesn’t often use Fedex to ship goods from China to the US, he can get an express agent with a better discount rate to ship the goods to the United States.
Therefore, the cost of express shipping is affected by:

Below is the estimated price for Fedex delivery.
Although the express delivery charges often fluctuate, the price of still floats within a specific range. Using the reference price, I provide in this post and factoring in the other influencers discussed above, you can easily determine the cost of delivery to your address.
*Please note that the goods containing lithium batteries, powder and liquid are considered "sensitive goods" and are not allowed to be shipped by official Fedex. But some express agents will be able to help you ship the goods to Hong Kong first and dispatch from Hong Kong to the United States by the express company.
The cost for shipping such sensitive goods is slightly higher, estimated at around $10/kg or more.
Dimensional Weight VS Real Weight
The cost of express and air freight, are charged by its weight or dimensional weight, which is higher. Here’s the formula to calculate it,
Dimensional Weight = Length(cm) x Width(cm) x Height(cm)/5000
Customs Duties

There are four express companies that we are working with, Fedex, UPS, DHL and TNT. DHL’s customs clearance process is slower than that of Fedex and UPS. Sometimes DHL’s shipping cost from China to US is also relatively higher. That's why we prefer Fedex and UPS.
